OUR TEAM MEMBERS

Dan & April Richard
Co-founders

Dan & April Richard are Chiropractors and also Physical Therapist & Physical Therapist Assistant, respectively. They bring with them 40+ combined years of physical therapy knowledge/experience.

April graduated in 1997 from Texas A& M University with a B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Cardiac Rehab and also received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant in 2000. She began working at a multidisciplinary clinic encompassing Physical Therapy and Chiropractic care. Wanting to expand her knowledge, April decided to pursue her chiropractic education at Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, Tx in 2002. April graduated with a Doctorate in Chiropractic in May of 2005.

Dan Graduated in 1996 from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Physical Therapy and began his PT experience in West Virginia in these clinical settings: home health, outpatient, acute, and rehab. He was working with neuro to orthopedic cases.   In 2000, Dan sat next to Bon Jovi's chiropractor, Dr. Steve Thaxton, on the way to a PT CEU course; the rest is history.

In 2002 Dan & April met at Parker Chiropractic School in Dallas. They received a Doctorate in May of 2005. During their clinical rounds, April and Dan worked in home health as therapists.  What they found was a need for quality therapists in the home health setting.  In January of 2007, April and Dan hired their first few therapists and started their therapy contract company.

17 years later, as CEO of Little Elm Ortho, April oversees daily business operations, business development, and the integration of technology to better assist with patient care and ease of communication with their home health agency partners/therapists in the implementation of patient care.  She keeps abreast of the ever-changing Medicare guidelines/requirements. She is a member of the APTA with emphasis in the Geriatric and Home Health Section. She is committed to clinical excellence, ethical practices, and providing a small business atmosphere.

As the Physical Therapy Director of Little Elm Ortho, Dan oversees the Physical Therapist Assistants and Wellness Centers our Home Health Agency partners have incorporated in Assisted Living Facilities/Retirement Communities.

In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with their children Austin and Dakota, friends, family, and church functions. They also enjoy sand volleyball and the ever-challenging golf game.

"We are passionate about providing our therapists, home health agencies, and doctor clinics the personal attention you get from a 'mom and pop' shop. We love what we do and look forward to partnering with therapists/home health agencies/doctors who have the same ethics, compassion and dedication to their patients as we do."
